PoroTest1 Wet Pinhole Tester FeaturesEasy to operate, battery powered. Suitable for non-conductive coatings on metal substrates.
PoroTest1 Wet Pinhole Tester Applications:EPK's PoroTest 1 is a lightweight, easy-to-operate, battery-powered wet pinhole instrument for the inspection of non-conductive coatings on metal substrates. Designed for field construction, it can be used for quality control and final inspection of various protective coatings.
PoroTest1 Wet Pinhole Measuring Principle: As a resistance Detector, the PoroTest 1 is sensitive to the resistance of the insulating coating and the water injection pinhole. If a pinhole is encountered, water from the wet sponge will seep into the pinhole, and the current will turn on, activating the sound signal. Only those pinholes that penetrate the insulating coating will be detected.
The instrument is operated using 9V direct current, which is completely free of danger to the operator. When the resistance of the pinhole drops below 100K ohms, an alarm signal will be immediately generated. The PoroTest 1 measures pinholes in coatings up to 300 microns.
The PoroTest1 Wet Pinhole Tester comes standard with:The PoroTest 1 main unit includes a sponge, 9V alkaline battery, operating instructions, ground wire.
