Black/white plastic - vinyl chloride/acetate copolymer
Smooth matte surface - plasticizer-free
ASTM D 2486, ASTM D 4213, ISO 11998 and other frosted test methods
In a typical scrub test, the coating is applied to the film thickness specified by the Leneta matte test panel, allowing drying, and then scrubbed with a straight line scrub Tester. In ASTM D 2486, a 10 mil spacer is inserted under the panel to speed up failure, reducing testing time. Scrub resistance is the number of scrub cycles required to remove a coating to a specified endpoint.
Alternatively, the equivalent loss of film thickness is calculated by measuring weight loss as a measure of scrub resistance after a specified number of scrubbing cycles.
