The Stormer viscometer is a test instrument used to determine the viscosity of paints and other paints expressed by KU values. The instrument can display the KU value that represents the viscosity of the sample to be measured or the load value (in g) associated with the KU value. This instrument is controlled by a computer, the stirring paddle (also known as the rotor) is driven by a constant speed motor to rotate at a speed of 200rmin, and the resistance torque of the stirring paddle rotating in the measured sample is converted by the computer to express the KU value, (Krebs unit (KU) is a logarithmic function of the load required to produce 20omin speed, which is generally used to express the viscosity used for brush and roller coating).
◇ This instrument conforms to ASTM-D562GB/T9269-2009 standard.
◇ There is no need to change the rotor in the whole measurement range (the rotor is the main component connected to the sensor, and the measurement accuracy will be affected by unreasonable installation).
◇ The operator only needs to enter the stirring paddle into the measured sample to the specified depth, and the KU value or the load value related to it can be directly read from this instrument, which is simple and convenient to operate.
