QTZ-type paint film conical bending tester is suitable for measuring the performance of cracking resistance or peeling from the metal base plate when the coating of paint and varnish (including single-layer and composite coating system) is bent around the conical axis under standard conditions , the elongation of the coating can also be determined.
This instrument conforms to: international standard ISO6860-1984 (E)
American standard ASTMD522-60 (1979)
British Standard BS3900; PartE11:1985
National standard GB/T11185
Tapered Shaft Dimensions:
The instrument is purely mechanical, and its structure is mainly composed of tapered shaft 1, pull rod 3, joystick 6, clamping test plate 2 and other devices.
The principle is: insert the test plate between the pull rod and the tapered shaft, clamp the joystick with the splint, turn the shaft from front to back (make the test plate bend around the tapered shaft), according to the coating on the test plate Crack location to determine its peel performance.
1. Unless otherwise required, the test shall be carried out under the conditions of 23±2°C and relative temperature (50±5)%, and the instrument shall be operated flat (or fixed) on the instrument platform.
2. Sampling shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB3186-82 "Sampling of Coating Products", and inspection and preparation of special test samples shall be carried out according to GB1727-79 "General Preparation Method of Paint Film".
3. Test board
(1) Material and size
Unless otherwise specified or agreed, the test panel shall meet the requirements of GP9271-88 "Standard Test Panel for Paints and Varnishes" and shall be polished steel plate, polished tin plate or soft aluminum plate.
The test panel should be flat, without deformation, and there should be no visible raised parts or cracks on the surface. The test panel should be 100mm*180mm, and its maximum thickness is 0.8mm. If there is no deformation, the test panel can be cut after coating and drying. In the case of an aluminum plate, its long side should be parallel to the longitudinal (axial) direction in the metal rolling process.
(2) Treatment and coating of test panels
Unless otherwise specified, three test panels shall be prepared according to the provisions of GB1727-79 "General Preparation Method of Paint Film". If brushing is used, the brush mark should be parallel to the short side of the panel.
(3) Drying and drying conditions
Dry (or bake and harden) each coated test panel according to the specified time, and then place the sample panel at 23 ± 2°C and a relative temperature of 50 ± 5% for at least 16 hours to perform the bending test as soon as possible.
(4) Coating thickness
Measure the thickness according to GB1764-79 "Determination of Paint Film Thickness".
