The new STM-VII digital Stormer viscometer is suitable for measuring the KU viscosity of coatings, paints and related products. The instrument is a digital display type, without weights, and the LCD displays KU value, gm value and reference mPa.s value (or cP value) at the same time, which simplifies the test steps.

ASTM D562 "Standard Test Method: Determination of Coating KU Viscosity Using a Stormer Viscometer"
GB/T 9269 "Determination of Coating Viscosity Stormer Viscometer Method"
The principle is to immerse the offset paddle into the test sample, and use the load value (corresponding to the mass of the weight of the mechanical Stormer viscometer) to express the viscosity of the sample, that is, the gm viscosity. Usually the gm value is converted into KU value (Krebs Unit) to represent the viscosity of the sample.
The instrument has an RS-232 serial printing interface, which can print and display the results online. The mPa.s value (or cP value) is converted according to the ASTM D562 standard and is for reference only. 1cP=1mPa.s. Considering the different habits of users at home and abroad, the instrument provides a 500mL sample cup randomly. STM-VII can provide English display.
