The hardness of the coating film is a necessary index for quality certification in the coating manufacturing and coating use (coating surface) industry. The pencil scratch method to test the hardness of the coating film is a test method that has been widely used internationally since the eighties. CHINA has also promoted this test method in the development research and industrial production of coatings. This instrument is designed and manufactured according to the manual operation method of the national standard "pencil determination method of coating film hardness" and "GB6379-86" 2 and 3. The instrument can be used in the laboratory or on the construction site and can be used to identify the hardness of the coating film in any direction.

Structure and working principle

The instrument is mechanical, and the three-point contact with the measured surface (two points are wheels, one point is the lead core) always ensures that the pencil and the measured surface form a 45° angle, which is used to promote the movement of the instrument and complete the test process.
