Applicable Standards

The battery short circuit test device meets the requirements of the short circuit test in GB8897.4-2002, GB/T18287-2000, IEC60086-4: 2000, UL1642: 2006, SN/T1414.1-2004, SN/T1414.3-2004 and other standards.

Test requirements

In the above standards, the requirements for the sample short circuit test are slightly different, and the battery short circuit test device needs to meet all of the following test requirements:

Simulate conditions that cause a short circuit on the outside. After the temperature of the tested single cell or the shell of the battery is stable at 55 °C, the battery is externally short-circuited at this temperature, and the total resistance of the external circuit should be less than 0.1Ω, and the short circuit should continue to be short-circuited until the temperature of the battery shell drops back to 55 °C for at least 1h. Continue to observe the tested sample for 6 hours.
