Introduction

The Protimeter BLD8800 MMS2 is a complete humidity measurement system for a wide range of building-related industries. The Protimeter BLD8800 MMS2 combines two measurement modes, needle and non-destructive, presenting a good work of art instrument.

The Protimeter BLD8800 MMS2 is an easy-to-use thermohygrometer with an LCD display and a set of four buttons for mode selection. To facilitate humidity surveys, it comes with a nylon zippered carrying case, as well as a complete set of accessories.

When used as a hygrometer, the Protimeter BLD8800 MMS2 has two modes of operation: detection mode and measurement mode. By selecting the detection mode with the instrument facing away from a building material, such as a wall, the user can obtain a qualitative measurement of the humidity below the surface of the wall or under the floor. Select the measurement mode and use a standard pin probe or a 5" drill wall probe to obtain further information below the surface and go down to 5".

Relative Humidity, dew point, mixed humidity (molecules/lbs, parts per million by weight) and ambient temperature can be quickly measured just by selecting the corresponding buttons. Surface temperature can be measured using the surface temperature probe (BLD5808) in the basic configuration, which makes the instrument particularly suitable for the assessment and diagnosis of condensation risk.
