PN-COBB paper and cardboard absorbency Tester is a paper and cardboard absorbency testing instrument developed according to the national standard GB/T 1540, which is suitable for the water absorption of sizing paper and cardboard surface, and is not suitable for base paper and embossed paper with a quantitative amount of less than 50g/m2, low sizing degree or more pinholes, not suitable for paper and cardboard without sizing, and not suitable for accurately evaluating the writing performance of paper or cardboard.
Definition of Cobb value: the mass of water absorbed by the surface of the carton per unit area of cardboard under certain conditions and in a specified period of time, expressed in grams per square meter (g/m2).
Water absorption is a test of the water absorption capacity of a paper or cardboard surface. The instrument adopts the Cobb test method, which is one of the various methods of absorption test, so it is also called the erection Tester.
