The Principle of the instrument is to use the hydraulic system to separate the coating with a certain diameter on the surface of the tested substrate to measure the adhesion of the coating. Instructions

1. Prepare the spindle, and use a grinding pad to polish the coating of the pre-bonded spindle, and then use a suitable solvent to clean the spindle and the oil and other dirt on the surface of the coating to be measured, and wait for drying;

2. Open the two-component glue in the instrument, mix it at a ratio of 1:1 (mix as much as you use), spread it thinly and evenly on the bottom of the drawing spindle, and press the spindle firmly on the prepared test surface , apply pressure to squeeze out the excess glue, then wipe off the overflowing glue, and wait until the glue is fully cured (about 24 hours) before preparing for the adhesion test (if necessary, use the supplied cutting knife to cut around the spindle );

3. Pressure relief: Rotate the protruding rotary screw plug on the right side of the instrument counterclockwise until it cannot be rotated, and keep pressing the pressure handle to the bottom. In this state, press the pull ring on the clasp to the bottom. You can pull the snap ring, put the snap ring on the spindle, and pull it to ensure that it is tightly fastened;

4. Press the first green button below the display screen of the instrument to turn on the power; then press the third button (with a spindle graphic on it) to select the size of the drawing spindle (10, 14, 20, 50 optional), generally The spindle size of the standard configuration of the instrument is 20mm, so when the size is converted to 20mm, we can proceed to the next step----select the unit of the instrument test

5. There are two options for the unit of the instrument, MPa and KN. KN is the unit of force value. The unit of adhesion strength we often use is MPa. Press the KN/MPa key to convert the unit;

Note: The instrument does not have a confirmation key. When selecting the unit or the size of the spindle, as long as the unit or size being displayed on the screen is what we need.

6. Press the power button again to reset the instrument to zero, turn the rotary valve on the right to the bottom clockwise, and then slowly press the handle (the process of slowly lifting up and down in a cycle), and the frequency will be displayed at this time. The reading on the top is also slowly rising from 0.000. Gradually, we will feel a little hard. At this time, in order to get a more accurate result, we must carefully control the speed of pressing down (the slower the better), until the spindle is drawn from The coating falls off, and the fixed reading on the display at this time is the adhesion strength of the coating;

Note: The evaluation of the adhesion level of the coating is generally based on the measurement results (that is, the measured readings) and the shedding phenomenon at the bottom of the shedding spindle. Observing the shedding phenomenon in the test area will give information about the shedding and the different layers of the coating. More information on the adhesion and cohesion between them.
