The TQC High Pressure Pinhole Detector or Porosity Tester can accurately detect pinholes, defects, inclusions, fine spots, and bubbles in coatings. This pressure gauge has been specifically designed to effectively transform the high-Voltage DC testing of coatings, making them safer, easier, and more reliable than before.
High-pressure technology can be used to test coatings up to 36 mm thick. This method is ideal for inspecting paint on pipes, tank bottoms, and other protective coatings. It is also possible to test the coating on concrete using this method.
The instrument has a number of unique features. Current limiting to avoid damage to the coating, and safety handles without sensitive electronics. The extended ribs on the handle provide an effective barrier between the high pressure and the user. Precise sensitivity adjustment can be used for metallized or slightly wet coatings.
Lightweight with ABS case
The switch can be switched off automatically in an instant
Digital display of applied Voltage with built-in battery status indicator
Regulated DC Voltage
The Voltage range is 0-l5kv or 0-30kv, fully adjustable
Clip-on battery packs
Constant test current
Sensitivity control
Overcharge protection
Single power supply
Headphones for noisy environments
Optional on/off switch on the handle
It is used to detect the porosity (pinholes or holes) of dielectric (insulating) coatings on conductive substrates, including concrete.
