1. Main uses and scope of application

This melt flow rate meter is used to determine the melt flow rate of various polymers in the viscous flow state, it is not only suitable for engineering plastics such as polycarbonate, polyarylsulfone, fluoroplastics with high melting temperature, but also suitable for testing materials with low melting temperature such as polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, ABS resin, polyoxymethylene resin, etc., and is widely used in plastic production, plastic products, petrochemical and other industries, as well as relevant universities, scientific research units and commodity inspection departments.

This melt flow rate meter meets the test methods for the mass flow rate and melt volume flow rate of thermoplastics specified in the "GB/T 3682-2000 Determination of Melt Mass Flow Rate and Melt Volume Flow Rate of Thermoplastics", ISO 1133:2011 and ASTM D 1238-2010 standards.

2. Working principle

The melt flow rate refers to the mass of the thermoplastic passing through the standard die every 10min at a certain temperature and load, which is expressed by MFR, and the volume of the melt passing through the standard die every 10min, expressed by MVR, and its value can characterize the viscous flow characteristics of the thermoplastic in the molten state, see Part 6 and 7 of GB/T 3682-2000 Determination of Melt Mass Flow Rate and Melt Volume Flow Rate of Thermoplastics.

3. Instrument storage and maintenance

1. This instrument and its accessories need to be placed in a dry environment.

2. After the test, the accessories need to be wiped with anti-rust grease, and the anti-rust grease should be removed before the test.

3. After the test is completed, the power needs to be turned off to avoid accidents.

FAQ
QIs the price listed on the website the final cost for overseas purchases?
ANo, it isn't. This is the ex-factory price of the product in the Chinese Mainland. In addition to this price, buyers from different countries need to account for additional costs such as shipping fees, tariffs, and others. For specific regional quotes, please consult our customer service or fill out a quotation form.
QWhat is the specific process for purchasing the product?
AFirst, please click on the quotation form on the website and fill in detailed information. Our customer service personnel will then send you a quotation based on your specific country and region, confirming payment and delivery methods. Following this, we proceed with contract signing, payment, and shipment. You can then await delivery.
QWhat should I do if the instrument I purchase needs repair?
AAfter-sales repair for overseas instruments is an unavoidable issue. Our repair terms stipulate that the sender is responsible for the shipping and insurance costs incurred for the repair. Repairs within the warranty period are free, while repair costs beyond the warranty period are determined based on the actual situation.
