A No, PosiTest DFT Ferrous is a single-function model, designed to measure nonmagnetic coatings on ferrous metals, cost-effective; if you also measure non-ferrous metals, choose the Combo model, but only measure iron, Ferrous is fully sufficient, accuracy +/- 3%, in line with a variety of international standards.
QWhy can't the Defelsko Coating thickness gauge be charged?
A Hello, there are two solutions: 1. It is equipped with 3 ordinary AA batteries, please open it and replace it; 2. It can also be connected to a computer for direct use, but it cannot be charged (powered by a USB cable).
QDoes this thickness gauge meet the ISO2178 standard?

QMy sample substrate is Glass, but Glass is coated with a nano-scale aluminum film, coated with a layer of about 300um paint, and the accuracy can be ± 3um. Can this one be satisfied?
A Hello, because there is a layer of Glass at the bottom, and the film thickness of the aluminum layer is very thin, which is almost negligible, so it is equivalent to the measurement of the coating on the Glass. In addition, this Coating thickness gauge is aimed at materials such as iron and aluminum. Glass cannot be measured. If the Film thickness of the middle aluminum can reach 0.3mm, there is a chance to test it.
