FAQ
QWhat is the HiLo alarm mode for PosiTector GLS?
A Both PosiTector GLS standard and premium models offer HiLo alert mode, which emits audible and visible alerts when a Measured value exceeds a user-specified limit, and can be used as a quick pass/fail check.
QMeasurement speed of PosiTector GLS gloss meter?
A By default, the PosiTector GLS Gloss Meter Standard model can take more than 60 readings per minute. With the Advanced PosiTector Gauge Body, 2 powerful scan modes (Normal and Statistical) enable faster and more efficient measurements.
QHow often should PosiTector GLS be recalibrated?
A The PosiTector GLS gloss meter includes a calibrate certificate with no expiration or end date. Many organizations with mass programs and re-certification programs require annual re-calibrate, which is a good starting point for most users. DeFelsko recommends that customers establish calibrate intervals based on their own experience and work environment. Based on our product knowledge, data and customer feedback, a calibrate interval of one year from the date the instrument is put into service is a good starting point.
QDoes PosiTector GLS need to be "calibrated" or "adjusted" before use?
A Innovative technology and factory calibrating in the PosiTector GLS means it can take measurements at any time - often without the need for calibrating. If the probe is placed in the included protective substrate and Power-on Adjustment is enabled, the probe automatically performs inspection and calibrating using the certified Glossiness standard (tile) included in the substrate
