Introduction

The TR-1800H Total nitrogen rapid analyzer is developed and designed based on the US EPA certification method - "color-changing acid method". The alkaline persulfate digestion process converts all forms of nitrogen into nitrates. Sodium metabisulfite added after digestion is used to remove halogen oxidizing substances. Then nitrate and chromotropic acid react in a strongly acidic environment to form a yellow complex, and the Total nitrogen content in the water sample is determined according to the absorbance of the complex, expressed in mg/L.

The digestion and colorimetric integrated tube detection is used to make the detection easier and safer.
