Introduction

Tramex Ireland has been designing and manufacturing non-destructive moisture Testers for more than 30 years, and the CME5 Concrete Moisture Content Tester is a moisture Measurement Instrument used in the flooring industry, recommended by reliable manufacturers of flooring covering materials and flooring adhesives in many industries.

The CME5 Concrete Moisture Content Tester is used for non-destructive testing of concrete moisture content, and its test method conforms to ASTM F2659 standard. The instrument is easy to use and delivers precise and reproducible results. Allows users to perform multiple tests on large areas in the shortest possible time.

CME5 Concrete Moisture Content Tester is a new upgrade from CME4 Concrete Moisture Content Tester. The CME5 concrete moisture content Tester has a rugged ergonomically designed housing, an optional extension rod for easy measurement, and real-time readings and displays of humidity distribution maps via Bluetooth data transmission APP.

Operating PrincipleTramex CME5 Concrete Moisture Content Tester Details Figure 3

Excessive moisture content in the concrete during floor laying can lead to potential problems such as condensation or adhesive failure. The CME5 Concrete Moisture Content Tester can give an instant reading of the moisture content, allowing you to make a clear decision on when to lay the floor covering, which needs to be dried before the floor is covered and it is important to check the moisture content regularly during the drying of new concrete. In order to ensure that it is fully dry to meet the requirements of floor laying.

The CME5 Concrete Moisture Content Tester uses non-destructive electrical impedance measurements to assess the moisture content within a concrete slab or mortar layer. The bottom of the instrument is equipped with parallel isoplanar electrodes. It is used to transmit low-frequency signals to the concrete floor mortar layer at a depth of 20 mm during operation, and the change in impedance caused by humidity during operation is displayed on a clear and easy-to-read analog dial.
