CMEX5 digital display concrete moisture content Tester is used to test the moisture content of concrete in a timely and accurate manner without damage, and can also test the moisture content of concrete and gypsum by carbide method. Complies with ASTM F2659 · The CMEX5's built-in ambient Relative Humidity sensor measures the Relative Humidity, temperature, dew point, and mixing ratio of the environment. The CMEX5 can be equipped with an optional ASTM F2170-compliant Hygro-i2 in-situ Relative Humidity probe to measure in-situ Relative Humidity and a HH14TP30B heavy-duty needle wood moisture probe to measure wood moisture content. The CMEX5 can also be optionally equipped with a CDK concrete moisture content probe to measure the moisture content of concrete with an inner depth of up to 100 mm.
CMEX5 Digital Concrete Moisture Content Tester is a new upgrade from CMEX2 Digital Concrete Moisture Content Tester. The CMEX5 has a rugged, ergonomically designed housing. Optional extension rod for easy measurement,Real-time readings and display of humidity maps and reports via Bluetooth data transmission app.

Excessive moisture content in the concrete during floor laying can lead to potential problems such as condensation or adhesive failure. The CMEX5 Digital Concrete Moisture Tester gives an instant reading of the moisture content. This allows you to make a clear decision about when to lay your floor coverings. The concrete floor needs to be dried before the floor is covered, and during the new concrete drying period, it is important to check the moisture content regularly to guarantee that it is sufficiently dry to meet the requirements of floor laying.
The CMEX5 digital concrete moisture content Tester evaluates the moisture content in the concrete slab or mortar layer by non-destructively measuring the electrical impedance. The bottom of the instrument is equipped with parallel isoplane electrodes, which are used to transmit low-frequency signals to the concrete floor mortar layer to a depth of 20 mm during operation. Changes in impedance caused by humidity during operation and display them on a clear, easy-to-read display.
When the selected Hygro-i2 in-situ Relative Humidity probe is plugged into the CMEX5, the instrument automatically switches to in-situ Relative Humidity mode to measure the in-situ Relative Humidity, temperature, and dew point of building structural materials such as concrete floors, walls, etc. The test method complies with ASTMF2170, BS8201, 8203 standards, and the Relative Humidity probe can also measure ambient Relative Humidity, temperature, dew point and mixing ratio.
The Hygro-i2 in-situ Relative Humidity probe is reusable and needs to be checked and calibrated regularly.
When the selected HH14TP30B heavy-duty needle wood moisture probe is inserted into the CMEX5, the instrument automatically switches to wood moisture mode. It can measure the moisture content of wood or wood products with a measurement range of 5-30% MC, and a wood calibration table and temperature calibration chart are available for accurate readings of different wood densities and different temperatures.
HH14TP30B heavy-duty needle wood moisture probe also measures the humidity of drywall and other materials in the measuring range 7-100 (wood moisture equivalent value WME).
