Wear of steel tips and jewel bearing seats: This is a very common failure. The steel tip and gem holder are used to support the weight of the viscometer's sensor, rotating shaft, and rotor. Under normal circumstances, they should be smooth and have very little friction. However, due to long-term contact and running-in between the two or careless operation, the steel tip is worn hard. Damage to the surface of the gem holder will cause the surface of the gem holder to become uneven, which will make the contact between the two not at one point but on one surface, increasing the frictional resistance and thus affecting the accuracy of the instrument. There will be a phenomenon on the operation display of the instrument that the torque is not "0" after the power is turned on (the dial shows that the pointer is not "0").
Bent shaft: It may be caused by collision or deformation of the shaft after being used for a long time. This faulty instrument shows that when idling at 100RPM, the rotating shaft shakes greatly. Generally, if the rotating shaft deviates from the axis by more than 0.8mm, it needs to be repaired and replaced.
The panel is out of control: This situation is caused by long-term use and long-term pressing of the keys, causing the keys to lose their function and be damaged.
After turning on the machine and performing zero calibration, the instrument displays not "0" but a negative number. This is because the customer did not remove the rotor from the shaft before automatic zero calibration, or the rotor has been immersed in the sample.
During measurement, the instrument displays "EEEE", indicating that the measurement exceeds the "large measurement range". This is caused by improper matching of the rotor or speed selected for measurement.
PCB board damage: Due to the unstable power supply used by some customers, the instantaneous Voltage is too high, which burns out the power board or display board, causing the computer to be unable to boot or display data. At this time, a new circuit board needs to be replaced.
