Main features

  • Simple operation

The pxws-3 trace moisture analyzer adopts a large-screen LCD display and user-friendly menu settings to facilitate user operation. The instrument program contains all operations in relevant standards such as GB7600-87 "Method for determination of moisture content of transformer oil in operation" (Coulomb method). With just one click, the experiment is completed automatically.

  • Humanized appearance design

The instrument adopts humanized appearance design. The height and width of the instrument are in line with the operating habits. The electrolytic cell is located on the upper right side of the instrument and the buttons are located on the left side of the instrument. When injecting samples with your right hand, just press your left thumb gently, and the instrument will automatically complete all test analysis and output and display the test results.

Instrument operation

  • Power on

    After the electrolyte is installed, first place the electrolytic cell on the cell holder, then insert the measuring electrode and electrolytic electrode into the corresponding socket, turn on the power switch, and the instrument automatically enters the main menu.

  • Setting parameters 

     Press the "Settings" key to enter the setting menu; press the "▲" or "▼" key to move the cursor and select different setting items. Use the "Confirm" key to confirm the operation and enter the submenu corresponding to the setting item. Press the "Return" key Return to the previous menu. In each submenu, as long as data entry is involved, press the "↑" key to increase the corresponding bit of the data by 1, press the "↓" key to decrease the corresponding bit of the data by 1, and press the "←" or "→" key to left or right Move the cursor. Press the "Return" key continuously to exit from the current menu step by step until the main menu. [Note] When setting parameters, press the "Confirm" key to confirm the return, and the data will be saved and returned; if you press "Return" directly, the data will not be saved. "Electrolysis settings" are important parameters of the system, do not change them at will!

  • Sample measurement 

   Press the "Stir" button to make the stirrer in the electrolytic cell rotate. If the stirrer does not rotate, you can appropriately adjust the speed control knob on the panel to increase the clockwise rotation speed. Then turn on the "Electrolysis" button. If the measured Voltage value is >100, it will display "The electrolyte is initially balancing, please wait...". When the balance is reached, the instrument will alarm and prompt "The electrolyte has been balanced, please press Start." Inject sample after keying". At this time, the sample can be injected. After pressing the "Start" key to inject the sample, the instrument will automatically perform the test. After the test is completed, the buzzer will sound and the display will indicate "Test has ended".

 [Note]: If the measured Voltage is <20, it will prompt "Measuring electrode short circuit!"

   If 20 < measured Voltage < 80, it will prompt "Excess iodine in the electrolyte!"

   In this case, you can inject an appropriate amount of pure water to neutralize the excess iodine, and the error message will be automatically eliminated.

   If the measured Voltage is >6000, it will prompt "Measuring electrode open circuit!"
