The instrument is suitable for the determination of the medium air permeability range of paper and cardboard from 1×10-2 to 1×102um/(Pa.S). The instrument is composed of a container on a fixed pillar, a paper sample clamp ring and a pressure gauge.
The upper part of the container is equipped with a breathable valve and a water filling valve with a funnel to inject into the container.
The bottom of the container is equipped with an overflow valve and a regulating valve for controlling the flow of water.
The paper sample clamp ring is fixed on the bracket, and there is a hole with an area of 10cm² on the paper sample clamp ring and the air box.
The air box is located under the paper sample clamp ring, and there are two joints on it, which are respectively connected with the exhaust pipe and the pressure gauge with rubber hoses. Adjusting bolts to adjust the horizontal position of the instrument.
