Introduction

Thermax Irreversible Thermometer Paper UK is a series of temperature test tags that record the maximum temperature reached by the tag.

These self-adhesive thermometers consist of a series of temperature-sensitive elements sealed between a heat-resistant substrate with a transparent window. Each component noticeably changes color when the rated temperature is exceeded. These changes are irreversible, providing a temperature history of the monitored surface. The label is not delaminate for reference when removed and can be attached to the inspection report for your records.

A temperature-sensitive element is a color-changing indicator that utilizes the precise melting point of a series of specially purified organic chemicals to produce a unique, high-precision color change effect. A different compound is used at each temperature point, which is manufactured separately by applying a coating containing this chemical to a special absorbent paper substrate. When the rated temperature is exceeded, the chemical melts and is absorbed by the substrate, resulting in an irreversible color change.
