Introduction

A Shore Hardness Tester, also known as a Shore hardness meter, is a device used to measure the hardness of a material. It is based on the principle of Shore hardness testing, which determines the hardness of a material by applying a certain load to the surface of the material and then measuring the diameter of the indentation. Shore Hardness Testers are commonly used in hardness testing of metal materials and alloys, and can evaluate properties such as hardness, strength and wear resistance of materials.

The basic principle of Shore Hardness Tester is to use a drill or spherical head to press into the surface of the material under a certain load, and then measure the diameter of the indentation. According to the relationship between the diameter of the indentation and the load, the hardness value of the material can be determined by looking up a table or calculating. Shore Hardness Testers usually have different hardness scales, such as A, B, C, etc., which are suitable for different types of materials and hardness ranges.

HS-A is a digital Shore A type rubber Hardness Tester. It is suitable for hardness measurement of plastics (such as films, medical equipment, etc.), synthetic rubber (such as seals, tires, rubber rollers, hoses/tapes, wires and cables, shock absorbers, etc.) and other related chemical products.

FAQ
QI want to measure the Hardness of rubber seals, which instrument should I use?
A HS-A digital Shore A hardness gauge is specially used for rubber materials, such as sealing parts, soft rubber type A is the most suitable, can accurately measure the Hardness value in the range of 0-100HA.
QCan this hardness gauge record multiple measurements?
A Yes, HS-A has an average calculation function. You first set the number of measurements, and it will automatically calculate the average. It is especially suitable for Quality control occasions where multiple sets of data need to be taken.
