The HI83314 is a compact multi-parameter photometer designed to measure critical water and wastewater quality parameters. Featuring an innovative optical design that utilizes a reference Detector and focusing lens to eliminate errors from light source variations and glass cuvette defects. 10 critical water and wastewater quality parameters and 20 different methods covering multiple ranges are programmed into the meter. Wastewater treatment digestion parameters include COD, Total nitrogen and Total phosphorus, which are important for monitoring nutrient removal. The HI83314 also provides an absorbance measurement mode for performance verification and for users who want to develop their own concentration versus absorbance curves. Built-in rechargeable system, nearly 75 water quality measurement items, wide range of applications, easy to operate and carry, not only suitable for laboratories, but also convenient for rapid water quality measurement on site or in the field.
Backlit 128x64 Pixel Graphic LCD Display: The backlit graphic display allows for easy viewing in low light conditions. The 128x64 pixel LCD allows the use of virtual keys to simplify the user interface and help guide the user on the screen in using the meter.
Built-in reaction timer for photometric measurements: Measurements are taken after the countdown timer has expired. A countdown timer ensures that all readings are taken at appropriate reaction intervals, regardless of user, allowing for better consistency in measurements.
Absorbance Mode: Hanna's CALCheck cuvette for verification of light sources and Detectors. Allows the user to plot concentration versus absorbance at specific wavelengths for use in user-supplied chemistry or for teaching the principles of photometry.
Units of Measurement: Displays the appropriate units of measurement as well as chemical forms and readings.
Results conversion: Automatically convert readings to other chemical forms at the touch of a button.
Cuvette cover: Helps prevent stray light from affecting measurements.
Digital pH electrode input: Measures pH and temperature using a single probe, with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) verification of calibration information including date, time, buffer used, offset and slope for traceability. The pHCAL check alerts the user to potential problems during the calibration process. A pH meter and photometer are built into one instrument to save space.
Data Logging: Store up to 1000 photometric and pH readings simply by pressing the dedicated LOG button. Recorded readings can be easily recalled by pressing the RCL button. Sample ID and user ID information can be added to recorded readings using the alphanumeric keypad.
Connectivity: Recorded readings can be quickly and easily transferred to a flash drive using the USB-A host port, or to a computer using the micro USB-B port. Data is exported as .CSV files for use with common spreadsheet programs.
Battery status light: Indicates remaining battery life
Error message: Photometric error information includes no upper limit, high zero, and low standard, and pH calibration information includes clean electrode, check buffer, and check probe.
