HI76409 is a current dissolved oxygen probe for the Hanna portable Dissolved Oxygen Meter. It contains a pure silver cathode and a zinc anode with an integrated temperature sensor.
As a standard galvanic dissolved oxygen probe, it can be used with the HI9147 portable Dissolved Oxygen Meter. Electrical probes require no conditioning time, allowing instant measurements. The probe's high portability and simple design make it a popular choice for field and laboratory use. The DO probe is equipped with a membrane covering the current sensor and a built-in thermistor for temperature measurement and compensation. A thin permeable membrane isolates the sensor element from the test solution but allows oxygen to enter. Oxygen passing through the membrane causes an electric current from which the oxygen concentration is determined.
