Introduction

The TT300 ultrasonic Thickness Gauge has a plastic housing and uses the ultrasonic measurement principle to measure the thickness of the material that allows the ultrasonic waves to propagate inside it at a constant speed and reflect it from the back of the body. The principle of ultrasonic thickness measurement is similar to that of light wave measurement. The ultrasonic pulses emitted by the probe reach the object to be measured and propagate through the object, and are reflected back to the probe when they reach the material interface, and the thickness of the material to be measured is determined by accurately measuring the time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to propagate through the material.

Scope of application

Another important aspect of this instrument is the ability to accurately measure sheets and machined parts, as well as the monitoring of pipes and pressure vessels in production equipment and the degree of thinning they have been corroded during use. It can be applied to petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, aerospace and other fields.

It is suitable for measuring the thickness of metals (e.g. steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastics, ceramics, glass, glass, fiberglass and other ultrasonic conductors.

FAQ
QI want to measure the corrosion of metal pipes, is it appropriate to use TT300?
A Yes! The TT300 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is specifically designed to monitor corrosion thinning of pipes and Pressure Vessels. It uses a lightweight and durable plastic shell with an accuracy of +/- (1% H + 0.1) mm, which can accurately detect changes in metal pipe wall thickness. It also has an ultra-differential alarm function, which will alert you immediately if the thickness is not up to standard.
QChemical plants need to regularly check the thickness of equipment. Do you recommend this one?
A Recommended TT300, widely used in the Petrochemicals industry, standard probe can measure 1-250mm thickness, support 5920m/s steel Speed of sound and 5740m/s stainless steel Speed of sound. It can store 200 sets of data and connect to a computer through RS232, which is convenient for you to establish equipment thickness files and achieve regular monitoring and management.
QCan this thickness gauge measure plastics and ceramics? How to set it?
A Yes, the TT300 supports non-metallic materials such as plastics and ceramics, and has built-in Speed of sound values for various materials (such as nylon 2680m/s, ceramic 5842m/s). When using, just select the corresponding Speed of sound according to the material type. The instrument also supports two-point calibrate and reverse measure Speed of sound functions to ensure that different materials can be measured accurately.
QCan this thickness gauge measure plastics and ceramics?
A Yes. TT300 is suitable for a variety of materials, including plastic, ceramic, Glass and other ultrasonic conductors. The instrument has a built-in Speed of sound comparison table, such as Nylon Speed of sound 2680m/s, ceramic 5842m/s, select the corresponding Speed of sound during measurement to ensure accuracy.
QI want to measure the thickness of some metal pipes. Do you have a recommended thickness gauge?
A The TT300 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is made of a lightweight and durable plastic shell, making it ideal for pipe thickness detection. Because pipes are subject to corrosion and thinning during use, this instrument can accurately measure the remaining thickness of metal materials through ultrasonic waves. It also has an ultra-differential alarm function, making it ideal for regular monitoring of industrial pipes.
QWe need to test the thickness of plastic parts and ceramic parts in our factory. What instrument is suitable?
A The TT300 thickness gauge is very suitable. It has built-in Speed of sound values of various materials (such as nylon 2680m/s, ceramic 5842m/s). As long as you choose the Speed of sound mode of the corresponding material, you can accurately measure it. The instrument probe can adapt to Non-metallic materials, and the resolution reaches 0.01mm. It is especially suitable for mass control of plastic parts and ceramic products.
