The pendulum Hardness Tester is designed in accordance with GB/T 1730, ISO 1522 and ASTM D4366 standards. The König pendulum has the same principle as the Persoz pendulum and the double pendulum. The softer the pendulum contact with the coating surface, the faster the pendulum spokes attenuate, but the size, oscillation period and oscillation of the three are different.
The interaction between the pendulum and the paint film is complex and depends on the elastic and viscoelastic properties of the coating film, and there is no universal relationship between the results obtained by these three test methods. Only one type of pendulum is allowed in the measurement of the specified damping time.

In terms of the advantages of a purpose-built pendulum, the following conditions can be used as a guideline:
a) On surfaces with a low friction factor, the Persoz pendulum may slip, which invalidates the result, which is rarely the case in the case of base coats and varnishes.
b) The three instruments reflect the sensitivity of the physical properties of the coating to its environment, so the test should be carried out under the condition of controlling the temperature and humidity without the influence of air flow, and the thickness of the paint film and the material of the substrate may also affect the damping time.
Touch screen control
Adopt electromagnet method to shrink the pendulum needle
It can be suitable for test boards with different thicknesses from 0.1mm~5.5mm
Two laser probes are used to record data
Plexiglass door cover, reducing air circulation and making it easy to view
Different test methods can be switched freely
