According to the GB1732---79 standard design, the impact strength of the paint film is determined by using a heavy object falling from a high place to impact the paint film.

Operating Principle

The weight hammer is set on the required height by the controller screw, its height can be read by the positioning mark, and the controller spring is compressed by pressing the controller screw, and the round hole of the controller slider is aligned with the round hole of the controller upper cover and the lower bottom of the controller, so that the hammer of the connection falls, hits the punch rod, and the punch rod acts downwards on the model that is placed on the pillow cushion block in advance, and then the weight hammer body is lifted, and the tested template is taken out to observe the paint film test on the template.

Directions:

(1) Check and adjust before use

Check whether the center of the punch rod is consistent with the center of the concave hole of the pillow cushion block, if there is a deviation, the inner hexagonal screw 13 on the impact block tight mother 14 can be adjusted.

Whether the positioning mark is to the zero line, put down the hammer, observe whether the engraved line on the positioning mark coincides with the zero line, and the screws on both sides of the positioning mark 6 can be adjusted when there is a deviation.

(2) Instructions for use

(1) Prepare samples in accordance with the provisions of product standards.

(2) Place the prepared sample on the pillow cushion block 3 and close to the concave hole of the pillow cushion block, the paint film is facing upward, and make the impact point not less than 15 mm away from the edge of the template, or in the middle of the sample.If a sample is used for several tests, the edges of each impact point should be separated by no less than 15 mm.

(3) according to the provisions of the product standard, borrow the controller screw (2) to fix the height, press the control screw (6) and the hammer falls freely on the punch bar 4, and the punch rod transmits the impact force to the pillow cushion block as fast.

Lift the hammer, the hook on the hammer is automatically hung by the controller, take out the sample and observe it with a four-fold magnifying glass or visual force (if the standard allows the observer with visual force), when the paint film has no cracks, wrinkles and peeling phenomenon, you can increase the height of the hammer falling, and continue to measure the impact strength of the paint film until the paint film is damaged or the paint film can withstand the impact of the hammer at a height of 50 cm.

Each test should be performed at a new site on the sample.

According to the degree of paint film imprisonment, increase the hammer height by 2~10 cm each time the test is repeated.

(4) The impact strength of the paint film is expressed in centimeters as the maximum height of 1 kg hammer impacting the paint film without causing damage.

If the impact strength of the paint film has been indicated in the product standard, the hammer can be dropped directly from the specified height during the test.

If the product standard is properly stated, the special paint film can be tested by the reverse impact method, and the painted surface of the sample should be placed on the pillow block facing down for testing

(5) The difference between the two measurements should be within the range of ±1 cm.

(6) The test is carried out under the conditions of air temperature 25±1 °C and relative temperature below 70%.
