The weight hammer with the hook is fixed at the required height by the controller screw, and its height, i.e., the height of the slide scale, coincides with the positioning mark. (1) Placement of the test board. Place the prepared test plate on the pillow block, and close to the concave hole of the pillow block, with the paint film facing up, so that the impact point is not less than 15mm away from the edge of the test board, or in the middle of the test board. If a test plate is used for several tests, the edges of each impact point should be separated by no less than 15 mm.
(2) The setting of the hammer throwing height. At the same time, loosen the controller screws, and the control device can move up and down according to the slides on both sides of the slide. According to the test requirements, when taking the height first, please coincide the engraved line on the positioning mark with the scale line of the slide cylinder, and tighten and fix the controller screws.
(3) Test examples. In accordance with the relevant provisions in the standard, complete the setting of the hammer throwing height, and place the prepared test plate on the pillow cushion block. When the control screw is pressed, the hammer falls freely on the punch bar, which transmits the impact force to the test plate on the pillow cushion block. Lift the hammer up, hang the hook on the hammer by the controller, and take out the test plate. Observe with a 4x magnifying glass to determine whether the paint film has cracks, wrinkles and peeling.
