QTY-32 Paint Film Cylindrical Bending Tester is a special instrument to evaluate the performance of the coating of color paint, varnish and related products against cracking or peeling from metal plate when bending around the axis of the garden column under standard conditions, in line with the GB6742 national standard.
1. Working principle
The ductility of the coating film on the substrate is also different with different bending radii, and the flexibility of the coating film is judged according to the different bending radii or peeling conditions.

3. Select a suitable shaft rod according to product requirements. Insert the tester base into the air with the shaft rod and tighten it with a manual locker.
4. Turn the adjusting handwheel to lower the supporting plate, insert the coating film of the sample film face down between the shaft rod and the adjusting handle, and press the model with fastening screws and pressing strips on the supporting plate.
5. Rotate the adjusting handwheel to lift the supporting plate to make the model stick close to the axle rod.
6. Lower the adjustment handle to the lowest position, adjust the knob of the hold-down shaft on the handle, and make the hold-down shaft close to the model.
7. Lift the adjustment handle, and lift 180° smoothly instead of suddenly within 1----2S, and the template on the shaft is also bent at this time

9. Sample testing:
After bending, do not take the sample out of the instrument, check the sample immediately, and check whether the coating is cracked or peeled off from the bottom plate with normal vision or with a 10x magnifying glass according to the requirements of the product standard (excluding the coating with a side less than 10mm off the plate), but it is necessary to indicate the use of a magnifying glass. 10. Procedures for determining the diameter of the shaft that caused the damage first
Based on the above procedure, the smaller diameter shaft is experimented with (from large to small) until the coating film cracks or peels off the bottom plate, and then the same shaft diameter is repeated on a new sample to prove this result, and the shaft diameter that cracks or peels off the coating film is recorded first. If the shaft with the smallest diameter does not destroy the coating film, it is recorded that the coating film is on the shaft with the smallest diameter and does not fail when bending.
11. Test environmental conditions
In order to make the results correct, the test should be performed at a temperature of 23±2°C and a relative temperature of 50±5%.
1. In order to prevent the coating from being damaged during the bending operation, a piece of tissue paper can be lined on the coating surface of the template, and then inserted between the pallet and the adjustment handle for testing.
2. If the test results are observed with a 10x magnifying glass, they should be indicated.
3. The shaft rod with the smallest diameter will not crack or peel, in this case, the diameter of the shaft rod should also be indicated.
4. If the sample is an aluminum plate, its long side should be parallel to the rolling direction.
5. When the QTY-32 paint film bending tester is not used for a long time, all shaft rods should be coated with anhydrous petroleum jelly.
