Tester weight: 200g
Tester bottom area: 1cm²
The GZQ drying Tester is used to measure the drying time of the coating surface. Check whether the paint film is surface dry or actually dry (the dried paint film and putty film are taken out of the electric blast box and should be placed under constant temperature and humidity conditions for 80 minutes for testing)

(1) Tinplate: 60x120x0.2ï½0.3 mm
65x150x0.2ï½0.3mm
(2) Copper sheet: T2, hard, 50x100x0.1ï½0.3 mmãã
(3) Absorbent cotton ball: 1cm² loose cotton ball
(4) Qualitative filter paper: Standard weight 75g/m², 15x15 cm
(5) Stopwatch: division is 0.2 seconds
(6) Balance: Sensitivity is 0.01 g
(7) Electric heating blast box
(8) Drying Tester: weight 200g, base area 1cm²
1) According to the "General Preparation Method for Paint Films", prepare paint films on tinplate plates, red copper sheets (or substrates specified in product standards).
2) Then dry according to the drying conditions specified in the product standards.
3) At certain intervals or when the product standard is reached, within a range of not less than 1cm from the edge of the film surface, use the following methods:
Method A: Press filter paper method
Place a piece of qualitative filter paper on the paint film (the smooth side contacts the paint film), then gently place the drying Tester on the filter paper, and start the stopwatch at the same time. After 30 seconds, remove the drying Tester and turn the sample plate over (the paint film faces downwards). ), the filter paper can fall freely, or tap it a few times with the index finger of the hand holding the board on the back. If the filter paper can fall freely without the fiber of the filter paper being adhered to the paint film, the paint film is considered to be actually dry.
For paints whose paint film is allowed to be slightly sticky according to the product standard, if the filter paper still cannot fall freely after the sample is turned over and tapped with the index finger, place the sample on the glass plate and use tweezers to clamp a corner of the pre-folded filter paper. Gently pull the filter paper in the horizontal direction. When the sample does not move and the filter paper has been pulled off, even if there are filter paper fibers stuck to the paint film, the paint film is considered to be actually dry, but it should be noted that the paint film is slightly sticky.
Method B: Cotton ball pressing method
Place an absorbent cotton ball on the surface of the paint film, gently place the drying Tester on the cotton ball, and start the stopwatch at the same time. After 30 seconds, remove the drying Tester and cotton ball, leave it for 5 minutes, and observe that the paint film is free of cotton. Traces of the ball and loss of gloss. If there are 1 to 2 cotton threads left on the paint film, which can be gently brushed off with a cotton ball, the paint film is considered to be actually dry.
