ZW-Ⅰ Cone Bending Tester is used to evaluate the cracking resistance or peeling performance of the paint and varnish coatings when they are bent around a cone shaft under standard conditions according to the national standard GB11185-89. It can also refer to the standard ASTM D522-60 (1979) of the American Society for Testing and Materials for the determination of the elongation test of the adhesive coating coated on the flat metal with a uniform surface structure.
Cone size (GB11185-89 regulation): large end Φ38, small end Φ3.2, length 203mm
Dimensions (without handle): 280x110x120mm
Weight: 9kg
1) Test plate specification: according to the national standard GB11185-89, it is 100mm×180mm, with a maximum thickness of 0.8mm, polished steel, polished tin plate or soft aluminum plate. According to the American Society for Testing and Materials standard ASTM D522-60 (1979), it is a cold-rolled carbon steel with a thickness of 114mm×177mm and a maximum thickness of 0.8mm. The edges of the panels bent in the test were lightly rounded to remove burrs before the topcoat was applied. The design of the ZW-I conical bending tester considers the metal plate with a maximum thickness of 0.8mm. Do not use a test plate that exceeds the standard, so as not to damage the instrument.
2) Test environment and times: Unless otherwise agreed, the test shall be carried out under the conditions of 23°C±2°C and relative humidity of 50±5%. At least three identical samples shall be tested.
3) Bending test steps: Turn the handle of the instrument to the front (where the scale is attached); turn the unpainted surface of the test plate toward the cone shaft, pass through the gap between the rotating shaft and the cone shaft, and insert it into the seam of the pressure plate; place the test plate One short side of the cone lightly rests on the step surface of the small end of the cone shaft; lock the wing nut to press the test plate tightly; turn the handle evenly and smoothly to bend the test plate so that it can rotate 180° around the shaft within 2 to 3 seconds; loosen Unscrew the wing nut and remove the test panel.
4) Check the test plate according to the standard. The test plate is a user-owned spare part.
After use, wipe the instrument clean, unscrew the handle, and put it into the wooden box of the instrument.
