MODERNER QTX paint film flexibility tester, also known as paint film elasticity tester, can be used to measure the paint film flexibility according to the national standard GB1731. The flexibility of the paint film is expressed by the minimum diameter of the rod that does not cause damage to the paint film.
It consists of seven steel shaft rods with different diameters. It is fixed on the seat frame, and the seat frame can be fixed on the edge of the table of the test bench with screws. The dimensions of each shaft are as follows:
Shaft | size |
Shaft length: | 50 mm |
Shaft 1: | Diameter F15±0.05mm |
Shaft 2: | Diameter F10±0.05mm |
Shaft 3: | Diameter F 5±0.05mm |
Shaft 4: | Diameter F 4±0.05mm |
Shaft 5: | 10mm×3±0.1mm, radius of curvature 1.5±0.1mm |
Shaft 6: | 10mm×2±0.1mm, radius of curvature 1±0.1mm |
Shaft 7: | 10mm×1±0.1mm, radius of curvature 0.5±0.1mm |
After the flexibility tester is assembled, the perpendicularity tolerance between each shaft rod and the installation plane shall not be greater than 0.1 mm.
(1) The measurement should be carried out at 23°C±2°C and relative humidity not greater than 70%.
(2) The test panel should be smooth without any visible cracks and wrinkles.
Size: 120mm×25mm×0.2~0.3mm tin plate.
(3) Press the paint film of the test panel upwards with both hands, and press it tightly on the shaft rod with a specified diameter. Use the strength of two thumbs to bend the test board around the shaft rod within 2 to 3 seconds. After bending, the two thumbs should respond Said on the shaft centerline.
(4) After bending, observe the paint film with a 4x magnifying glass. Check whether the paint film is damaged by texture, cracks and peeling.
(5) During the test, the test should be carried out on each shaft rod in order from large to small, and the flexibility or elasticity index of the paint film should be represented by the smallest diameter of the shaft rod that does not cause paint film damage.
