(1) Before use, the QXD 50 Fineness of Grind Gauge should be soaked with a suitable solvent, including the scraper and the bottom, and dried with cotton yarn, and the sample that meets the product standard viscosity index should be fully stirred with a paint knife.
(2) In the deepest part of the groove of the QXD 50 large double-groove Fineness of Grind Gauge , drop a few drops of the sample, which can fill the groove and be slightly redundant.
(3) Hold the scraper with the thumb, index, and middle fingers of both hands. Place it horizontally on the upper end of the double-groove Grindometer, make the scraper perpendicular to the surface of the Grindometer, and pull the scraper from the deep part of the groove to the shallow part at an appropriate speed, so that the paint sample fills the groove without leaving any residue on the plate. There is excess paint.
(4) Immediately (not more than 5 seconds) after scraping, pinch the fineness gauge horizontally and tilt it so that the line of sight is 15-30° from the groove plane and observe the scale value of the uniformly exposed particles in the groove. The reading value is The fineness value of the measured object.

(3) When measuring the fineness, the clear oil that meets the product standard should be adjusted before measuring
(4) Regularly (one year) check the knife edge and the straightness of the fineness gauge, and if it is found to be uneven or the Grindometer is worn, it needs to be calibrated by the national metrology and verification agency before it can be used.
