Yueping PH-10 pen-type acidity meter is a portable acidity meter with built-in electrodes. It is mainly used for monitoring water sources on site or in the field. It has the function of dual display of pH value and temperature value. The measurement resolution is 0.1pH and the accuracy is ± 0.1pH. The PH-10 has three buttons and is digital display. The shell is made of white plastic, which is very waterproof, and the measurement operation is very simple.

Application

Electrode use precautions

1. Do not contact the glass electrode with a strong water-absorbing solvent for too long. It should be operated as soon as possible when used in a strong alkali solution, and it should be washed with water immediately after use.

2. The glass electrode bulb is very thin and cannot touch the glass or other hard objects.

3. When the glass film is stained with oil, it should be soaked in alcohol first, then soaked in alcohol, and then washed with distilled water.

4. If the PH-10 pen-type acidity meter measures the pH of a protein-containing solution, the surface of the electrode is contaminated by protein, which will lead to unreliable and unstable readings and errors. At this time, the electrode can be corrected by soaking it in dilute HCI (0.1mol/L) for 4-6 minutes.

5. After the electrode is cleaned, it can only be blotted gently with filter paper. Do not wipe it with fabric, which will cause static charge on the electrode and cause wrong readings.

Use common problems and solutions

1. How to convert ℃/℉?

The default temperature unit of the PH-10 acidity meter is ℃ when it leaves the factory. If you need to change the temperature unit, follow the steps below: When the pH meter is off, press and hold the CAL key, then press the ON/OFF key to turn it on. When the ℃ or ℉ symbol appears on the side, release the CAL key and the ON/OFF key. Press CAL key to select ℉ or ℃, press HOLD key to save after selection. At this time, the display will display the "SA" symbol, and then enter the normal measurement mode.

2. How to know whether the pH meter has automatic temperature compensation (ATC)?

The "ATC" symbol appears in the lower left corner of the display, indicating that the pH meter is in the automatic temperature compensation mode.

3. How to operate the lock and unlock function of the pH meter?

Press ON/OFF to turn on the machine. During normal operation, there is a decimal point flashing on the display screen. Press the HOLD button to lock the current data on the LCD. The decimal point stops flashing. Press the HOLD button again to unlock the mode.

4. What should I do if the PH-10 acidity meter cannot be calibrated?

If the PH-10 acidity meter cannot be calibrated, it is necessary to restore the factory settings and re-calibrate the PH Meter. The specific operation of restoring the factory state: turn on the PH Meter, the decimal point flashes on the screen, press and hold the (HOLD) button in the middle and do not let go, the decimal point stops flashing at this time, and the decimal point starts flashing in about 10 seconds, release the button. , and then recalibrate the pH meter.

5. How to configure, use and store pH correction buffer?

The PH-10 pen-type acidity meter is equipped with 1 pack of 3 kinds of powdered standard buffers when leaving the factory. Each pack can prepare 250ml buffer solution. Please do not use metal containers when preparing.

Now take the configuration of 250ml pH value = 6.86 standard buffer solution as an example.

A. Configuration method:

(1) Prepare a clean container with a capacity greater than 250ml, take out the buffer plastic bag with pH = 6.86 (green), and there are 2 small transparent plastic bags containing white powder inside, open the 2 small transparent plastic bags and pour them together Add 250ml of distilled water to the container, if there is no distilled water, it can be replaced by 250ml of commercially available bottled purified water.

(2) Stir slowly with a clean glass or other tools until the powder is completely dissolved.

(3) Configure other standard buffer solutions as above (there is only 1 white powder bag in the other 2). After the three buffers are prepared, they should be labeled in time to prevent confusion.

B. How to use:

When calibrating the PH-10 pen-type acidity meter, use 3 small containers, pour 3 kinds of buffers into them respectively, mark them well, and calibrate according to the instructions. Calibration needs to be performed in the order of 6.86, 4.00, and 9.18.

C. Save method:

The prepared buffer solution (250ml) can be divided into multiple uses. Put the unused buffer solution into a sealed plastic bottle and store it in a cool and dry place (ambient temperature 20-25°C) for 2-3 months.
