Introduction

Tap density, or bulk density (known as bulk density in some industrial fields), is defined as the mass of the sample divided by its volume, which includes the sample itself and the volume of the sample porosity and its sample gaps. Bulk density is necessary for the characterization of catalysts, foams, insulation, ceramics, powder metallurgy, and other industrial products.
