QHow should I choose the right rotor?
A (1) General principle of measurement: high viscosity samples use small volume (G, F) rotor and slow speed, low viscosity samples use large volume (E, F) rotor and fast speed. The percentile scale (torque) of each measurement is between 10% and 90% as the normal value, and the viscosity value measured within this range is the correct value. (2) First estimate the viscosity range of the tested sample, then choose a small volume rotor and a slow speed according to the high viscosity sample, and a large volume rotor and a fast speed for the low viscosity sample. Generally, the rotor is selected first, and then the appropriate speed is selected. For example, when the rotor SP is E, the speed is 750RPM, and the screen directly displays the full scale range of 100mPa.s. When the speed is changed to 75RPM, the full scale range is 1000mPa.s. (3) When the approximate viscosity of the measured sample cannot be estimated, it should be set to a higher viscosity first. Try the rotor from small volume to large volume and the speed from slow to fast. Then each measurement is based on the percentile scale (torque) to judge the rationality of the rotor and speed selection. The percentile scale must be between 10% and 90% of the normal value. If it is not within this range, the Viscometer will issue an alarm to prompt the user to change the speed and rotor. Don't forget to change the rotor. Be sure to change the rotor number SP according to the selected rotor.
