This standard specifies a method for evaluating the sealing mass of anodic oxidation oxide films of aluminium and aluminium alloys by acid etching. The sealing performance of oxide films is evaluated by measurement of the loss of weight of the film after corrosion in acidic solutions to determine their actual performance in terms of corrosion and corrosion resistance.
