The EN ISO 1456-2009 standard specifies requirements and test methods for nickel, nickel-chromium, copper-nickel and copper-nickel-chromium electrodeposition coatings. The standard applies to metal and Miscellaneous inorganic coatings, especially nickel and its alloy coatings commonly found in the Eletroplating process. The standard describes the basic performance requirements of coatings in detail, including Coating thickness, corrosion resistance, adhesion and other important indicators, and provides corresponding test methods to ensure the Reliability and durability of coatings under different conditions of use. In addition, the standard also covers the technical requirements for coating mass control, surface preparation process and testing. This standard replaces CEN EN 12540 and is an important basis for evaluating the coating mass of nickel and its alloys in the Eletroplating industry.
