The DIN EN ISO 9117-1-2009 standard specifies a test method for determining whether a single or multi-layer Coating system has reached through dry condition after a specific drying period under standard conditions. The method can also be used to determine the time required to reach through dry condition. The coating surface is inspected for damage by applying a load of specific pressure, twist and time to assess the degree of drying.
