The IEC 60216-3-2021 standard provides a guide for calculating the heat resistance of electrical insulating materials. It details how to calculate the heat resistance properties of materials using a fixed aging temperature and varying aging time, based on experimental data from IEC 60216-1 and IEC 60216-2. These data are available through non-Destructiveness, Destructiveness or confirmative tests. The new version of the standard includes new computer programs and a completely redone Accessories E to facilitate the calculation of heat resistance.
