This standard describes in detail seven exposure test methods for building materials and components in a salt fog/dry/wet cycle environment. Among them, the neutral salt spray method (AD) is suitable for all kinds of metals and their coatings, especially thermoset and water-reducible coatings; the acidic salt fog method (EG) is suitable for metals and their alloys, metallic coatings and organic coatings. This standard is suitable for evaluating the performance changes of building materials under complex atmospheric conditions, providing a reliable basis for their long-term use.
