This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, Encasement and storage of alkyd resins for coatings. It applies to solvent-based alkyd resins made of polyacids and fatty acids (or oils) and polyols, as well as Coating alkyd resins modified by commonly used Pellicular packing such as rosin, phenolic resin, polyamide, etc. The standard also includes performance requirements for alkyd resins for coatings.
