"HG/T 5669-2019 Spinning & weaving dyeing and finishing aids, Determination of total nitrogen" specifies the test method for total nitrogen content in Spinning & weaving dyeing and finishing aids products. This standard applies to the determination of total nitrogen content in Spinning & weaving dyeing and finishing aids containing inorganic nitrogen compounds such as inorganic ammonium salts, dissolved ammonia, and organic nitrogen compounds with trivalent nitrogen. The standard uses catalytic heating analysis of nitrogen compounds in samples. The generated ammonia is synthesized with ammonium sulfate, then absorbed by alkali distillation and Boricacid. Finally, it is titrated with muriatic acid standard titration solution, and the nitrogen content is calculated according to the consumption of acid. In order to ensure the accuracy of the determination, the standard specifies the use of analytical pure reagents and tertiary water that meets the GB/T 6682 standard.
