This document details the terms and definitions, design requirements and inspection methods of general book printing design. It applies to the printing design, layout arrangement and pre-press production of book printing products, and encourages the reference use of Miscellaneous similar products. Normative reference documents include GB/T 788 books and magazine folio and its format size, GB/T 18358 primary and secondary school textbook format size and general requirements for layout. Terms include book block (book without book cover) and cover (book cover fixedly connected to book block), providing a basic framework for standardization work.
