This standard specifies the method of high temperature accelerated weathering test for composite solid propellants, including determining aging performance parameters, test equipment, sample blanks, test conditions, test procedures and data processing. Applicable to high temperature accelerated weathering tests and corresponding storage life estimates for hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene, carboxyl-terminated polybutadiene, carboxyl-terminated polybutadiene acrylonitrile, polyether polyurethane medium-energy solid propellants and high-energy solid propellants such as N-15. The referenced normative documents include GB 4883-1985 and GJB 770. The main points of the method include using the propellant sample blank for aging test to obtain the results of the performance of the propellant at different temperatures with time, and determining the speed constant of the relationship between performance and time through mathematical models, and then estimating the storage life of the propellant. The aging performance parameters can be one-way tensile performance, the burning speed of the strip and the consumption of the stabilizer, etc., which are finally determined by the engine design unit, the propellant development unit or jointly negotiated.
