This standard specifies the selection principles, thickness series, mass requirements, inspection methods and inspection rules for metal, alloy platings and Non-metallic (inorganic) films required for marine electronic and electrical equipment and Instruments. It is applicable to metal and alloy platings obtained by electrochemistry, chemical method, hot dip method, and non-metallic (inorganic) films formed by chemical method and anodic oxidation method.
