YS/T 710.1-2009 "Methods for chemical analysis of cobalt oxide. Part 1: Determination of cobalt content. Potential Titrimetric method" stipulates the use of potential Titrimetric method for the determination of cobalt content in cobalt oxide in ammonia solution. This method is suitable for the determination of cobalt content in cobalt oxide samples, the determination range is 65.00% to 75.00%. Cobalt (II) oxidation to cobalt (III) by potassium ferricyanide standard solution, and the presence of impurity manganese (II) oxidation, and then back titration with cobalt standard solution, the end point is determined by potential leap. When the manganese content measurement result is less than 0.10%, the effect of manganese can be ignored and the cobalt content can be directly calculated.
