This standard specifies the principle, equipment and materials, sampling and sample preparation methods, test procedures, calculation and representation of results, and requirements for test reports for viscosity testing of continuous casting slag. The scope of application includes the determination of slag viscosity of continuous casting slag, and the measurement range is viscosity value ≥ 0.050 Pa.s. Equipment includes swirl/spin Viscosity meter, electric heating furnace, temperature measurement device, graphite crucible and hanging wire and measuring head.
