0837-2010 "Mineral insulating oils-Determination of kinematic viscosity at very low temperatures"

This standard specifies a method for determining the low temperature kinematic viscosity of transparent and opaque mineral insulating oils after a constant low temperature cold immersion of at least 20 hours. It is suitable for the determination of kinematic viscosity of Newtonian and non-newtonian fluids with a kinematic viscosity of not more than 20000mm ²/s at a constant temperature, especially for liquids at low temperatures. Kinematic viscosity is the ratio of dynamic viscosity to density of liquids, a measure of the resistance to flow of liquids under the action of gravity.
