This standard specifies the shape, size and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, Encasement, marking, storage, transportation and mass certificate of Graphite electrodes. It is suitable for Graphite electrodes made of calcined coke and coal asphalt as the main raw materials, used for heaters as conductive materials. A series of necessary standard documents are cited, including carbon material sampling method, ash content determination method, Graphite electrode flexural strength determination method, etc. The requirements of shape, size and allowable deviation specify the diameter and length of electrodes according to Table 1.
